The great Pyramids of Giza

They are the main tourist attraction. The three pyramids were built in 4th empire as tombs for the royals. Now Egypt has 93 pyramids; Giza are the common ones. Also referred to as Pyramid of Khufu flanking El Giza and it is the oldest as well as biggest.
 
                                        
 

Time to pack your bags

October to May is peak travel period; the weather is suitable since the temperatures are cool. Christmas and New Year falls in between this time.
Summer is in May to October. Temperatures are usually high, concurrently; it is calm hence seeing tourist freely and taking photos.
Springtime is also amazing for those willing to discover. The weather is modest. In March and April, Egypt experiences the “Khamsin wind”.  The Khumasin wind is humid blowing from the desert with sand and dust; it is such an escapade.
 

Be safe

Avoid areas around the centre of the Nile Valley. Some years ago, Islamic fundamentals beleaguered to kill the tourist industry and the financial systems. As a result, there was so much pressure.

 

Due to fighting in 90’s some areas were allotted as precarious. Sadly, these are the most stunning monuments in Egypt; for example, Bani Hassan in Minja monasteries of Asyout and the Temple of Abydos in Sohag.Willing and daring tourist should ask for police escort or through honest tour agents.

The roads are in bad shape, traffic lights do not work, reckless drivers break traffic rules, pedestrians do follow their paths, animals are a common sight on the roads and the winter rains result to slippery roads.

Go places in Egypt

This capital has a dynamic system of transports. Egypt Air presents unswerving domestic air services to the main tourist destinations, railway starts at Alexandria to Aswan. Weather roads cover the Nile Valley, Nile Delta, Sinai, Mediterranean and red sea.  Suez Canal is a main waterway on intercontinental exchange and navigation connecting the seas. Boats are ideal on the river for tourist.

 

Relax in the land of Pharaohs

 

Egypt boosts its hospitality industry. The hotels are among the unsurpassed in Africa. Other accommodation choices range from budget to superb hotels, apartments, cottages and villas. They are of different categories, Vacational hotels, resorts, lodges and country hotels and campsites. October to May are high peak season so early reservations are advised.

 

Celebrate and have fun

Egyptians are largely Muslims but there is a diminutive and noteworthy Christians. Yearly, they celebrate charismas on 7th January. This day is marked with fasting. Meat and milk is not taken from Nov 25th to the night of 6th. Homes and Churches are adorned earlier. Christmas day marks the end of fasting with celebrations. Children enjoy most with sugar cane juice and on the Nile River.
 

Ramadhan

Celebrated in September. The festival is very imperative as a mark of revelation of Quran to Prophet Mohammed. They religiously fast for a month from dusk to dawn. The end of fasting is obvious due to feasting.

Do not hear or read about Egypt, visit the land of Pharaoh. It is a package of wonders and discoveries!
