Gangtok - A journey amid Tibet and India, Adorned in clouds


                                             
 
 
Located in Sikkim in India Gangtok is known to be one of the finest places of tourism. It provides the tourists visiting this place with the wonders of the blend of modern living as well as natural beauty. It lies at a shocking height of 5500 meters above the ground level and is one of the most beautiful natural landscapes not only in India but in the whole Asian subcontinent. Though the view of the natural scenic beauty of Gangtok gives you the idea of a cultured rural life, but the fact is that Gangtok is one of the most developed states of India and is the capital of the state of Sikkim. It provides the tourists with modern day amenities like shopping malls, cyber cafes, night clubs, pool pubs etc. along with the natural spectacular in a blended fashion. Though Gangtok is located well above the ground level but due to numerous tourist spots of prime importance and exceptional level of tourists attending this place all the year round, it has plenty of hotels. These hotels range from five star in quality to budgetary hotels in order to fit the tourist’s pocket finances. Staying at Gangtok even gives you the opportunity to enjoy numerous different types of dishes ranging from continental to Indian.
 

Since Gangtok is mere 125 km away from West Bengal thus if you are planning a flight to Gangtok you can get down at the Bagdogra Airport without any hesitation. Various forms of transport facilities are available from here ranging from luxury buses to rented cars and bikes. Rail connection is also very developed along with other transport facilities like Bus service. But make sure to use the best method of transportation in Gangtok at least once that is the ropeway. This experience will be once in a lifetime.

Though Gangtok gives an all-around pleasurable in the natural sense but due to heavy snowfall, it is advised that one should always visit Gangtok between the month of October and December when vibrantvisions of the Himalayan peaks are certain. Even a visit again between the month of March and May during which the flowers are in coloration can be a very good option.
 
                             
                                            
 
 
Deer Park: Otherwise famous as the Rustomji Park, this dear park is located fairly near to the Secretariat of Sikkim government. This deer park was constructed in the year 1950s and such asthe designationadvice, diverse species of deer as well as red pandas are found here.
 
Phurchachu Hot Springs: Located about 25 km away from the Gyalshing, this spring has great therapeutic importance due to the presence of high amount of sulfur in the spring waters. It actually helps curing a lot of diseases of the skin region.
 
 
Nathula Pass: This place is of great cultural value since it is a mountain pass of the Himalayas that borders India and China i.e. the autonomous region of the Tibet country.
